Fast Food for thought

I see people all the time eat a greasy hamburger or something they just picked up so they could scarf down as quickly as possible.....but why?? It is soo gross!! I want you to start thinking that food equals fuel for you body. If you are unhappy the way you look right now or the way that you feel right now, then yes that greasy thing that you call food, is not food, it is gross!! Yah, get mad at it; it is that thing that made you feel and look this way. And no, it's not cause you aren't getting enough workouts in; it's simply because you are giving your body the wrong fuel. You would give your diesel truck gas as fuel, would you??

Let's think of what is in that grease pad: saturated fat (not good), salt (way too much), sugar (turns to fat in your body), and more and more fat........there is a host of everything wrong with it. And yah, I know what you are saying, "but it taste so good", blah, blah, blah.......ok so it might, (not in my opinion, you won't EVER hear me say that that greasy pizza tastes good). Instead I think of how it is going to make me feel; how do you feel 10 minutes after you ate it? How do you feel an hour after? Feel bloated, gassy? Or do you feel hungry still after wards?? You are not the only one who feels hungry and there is actual proof on why you feel hungry still 10, 20 even an hour after you are done stuffing yourself like a pork sausage.

Some nutrition experts have speculated that the lack of nutrients in most fast food may be the cause of obesity. If someone is consuming a diet that lacks nutrients, appetite remain high after consumption. This increase in appetite is a direct result of the body's attempt to make the individual to "keep eating" until the basic nutritional needs are actually met. So, despite that you just consumed a whopping 1500+ calories piece of garbage that did nothing for your body and which is probably your total daily calorie intake all in one shebang, you are still hungry!! So you eat more, fat, sugar, salt,....everything that your body does not need and then wow, "I am 20, 30, maybe 100 lbs OVERWEIGHT!!" And you don't know how this happened.

It's for this reason that you have to take control of your health. Get mad at grease! Get mad at food that is not food! Next time you think of putting crap into your mouth, think of this day.....think of how you feel right now, are you unhappy with the way you look? Maybe you feel tired, no energy?? This is a direct relation of what you are fueling your body with. Everyone should be healthy, be their strongest and be their best; and that comes with a good exercise program and nutrition.
