Last night I watched the Global National News and well what can I say, I guess I wasn't too shocked to hear the statistics.
According to WHO (World Health Organization) we Canadians are being warned to slim down.
- 63% of Canadians are Overweight
- 56% of Canadians have a precursor like Heart Disease or High Cholesterol
- 36% are inactive
When you break it down:
- 68% of Men are Overweight
- 59% of Women are Overweight
- 26% of Men & Women are Obese

So what are your numbers??
Overweight is classified as anything above a BMI equal to or over 25 and obese is equal to or over 30. BMI which is a measurement of weight over height can be a inaccurate way to measure ones fatness. However, is is simply a number that puts you into a chart that can determine a person's level of health risks such as heart disease, diabetes or cancer.

Now don't be alarmed or mad or angry or any other bad emotion, if you have just now realized that you are in a undesirable category.
Ask yourself honestly, did you think you were in a different category?? Here's the truth, you are in that category. So what are you going to do about it??
Are you going to put down the bag of chips or bowl of ice cream and do something or are you going to keep on feeling this way everytime the news or the WHO or bloggers like me tell you that you need to change?
